GENERAL-
Name:[/b][/color] Holgrin Jadeblood
Title:Secondary Overseer of Spellhold
Rank: Unblooded
Profession: Treasure Hunter, Spellhold Overseer, Runemage, Arcane Researcher
Alignment: Lawful Evil
PHYSICAL-[/b]
Race: Dwarf
Age: 133
Sex: Male
Height: 4'9”
Weight: 199lbs
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Blue-Silver
Voice Description: Holgrin has always taken great pride in his voice. A deep resonant voice that seems to reverberate within his throat, he speaks with a natural authority and cunning that often instills some small measure of respect for him in others. The tone of his voice is cold and piercing but his manner of speech is generally diplomatic and respectful. The only aspect of his voice that Holgrin dislikes is his slight nasal twang, though it does little to take away from weight of his voice.(Example: Scar(LK))
Clothing: When appearances are important, Holgrin wears an extravagant robes of various colors with shining golden yellow embroidery. Beneath these robes he keeps his upper body unclothed in all but the coldest weather while his lower body is covered by a garment of matching color and design to that of his robe. On his wrists he wears golden bracelets. He spares no expense to keep these robes clean and in good condition as he considers appearances to be an important part of business.
Holgrin is no fool though and doesn't wear such garish clothes anywhere where the benefits are not apparent. Appearing as such in inappropriate locations is more likely to invite trouble than to impress others. So for these occasions he has simple lightweight leather and cloth for ease of travel. His golden bracelets from before are replace by iron arm guards for protection. When out traveling Holgrin finds that he needs plenty of room to carry various tools and materials and, as such, his outfit is littered with pockets. Shirt pockets, pant pockets, coat pockets, and even a bandolier with small pockets for holding vials and runes. On his bag usually sits a large pack for holding larger necessities.
Regardless of outfit, Holgrin is always seen with various decorations adorning his beard and several rings worn on his hands. He also a tricorne hat that he wears occasionally.
Build / Complexion: Like one would expect from a dwarf Holgrin is sturdy and muscular, with muscles built from years of travel, hard work, and a natural dwarven heritage. His skin is rugged and worn from travel but is only just about average in terms of a tan as he spends varying, but ultimately equal amounts of time in/out of doors. Like many of his clan, the usual tawny brown tan of dwarven skin takes on a greyish hue to it, almost like that of clay.
Physical Description: Holgrin is a very grim dwarf to look upon with the appearance of a dwarf that only the most careless of men would risk angering. If the cold stare of his intense glowing silver eyes were not enough to deter a would-be troublemakers, his muscular ashen-brown body should be more than enough of an incentive to leave him alone. His gaunt facial structure mixed with the fact that he hardly ever shows others a real smile (if he smiles at all) gives him an almost permanent grave expression. His presence gives off a sobriety and gravity that seems to suck the joviality out of any room.
When in a public setting Holgrin carries himself with pride and austerity. He stands upright and with vigilance, determined to show that his caliber is above that of the common man. To this end he often dresses extravagantly in exquisite robes and jewelry with his chest exposed to show strength and a lack of fear of his enemies and any form attack they choose to bring. Regardless of location his dark brown beard is always tidily kept in several braids of various size and decorated with an assortment of beads, jewels, rings, and caps. Most are just for decoration but a few have special purposes and so it is rare for him to ever take these off.
For anything outside of a respectable community it is somewhat difficult to describe how Holgrin will appear. He chooses not to remain single-minded in how he prepares himself for his travels and has the resources to prepare for a many different situations. However, if the situation is appropriate and allows for him to do so, then you can expect that he will travel heavily as he likes to pack a great deal of tools in case an unexpected artifact or phenomenon catches his interest. While in these areas his bald shaved head is usually covered, mostly to hide the permanent slightly incandescent blue rune that covers it.

Personality Description: Holgrin is a dwarf who believes order and structure to be life's most important qualities, especially when magic is concerned. To him laws are made for the greater good of society and must be strictly followed and enforced, regardless of how severe that law may be. The only exception to this belief is when said law is obviously made by corrupt officials for personal benefit. Such individuals whom wish to corrupt the law must be rooted out and ruthlessly dealt with.
When it comes to magic his views become even more strict. It is his belief that use of magic must be heavily monitored and that mages be magically bound to follow proper law or face dire consequences. He believes that magic has been taught and obtained too freely which has led to disaster in the past and will continue to do so if left unchecked. To this end he endeavors to one day establish an official institution of magic to create and enforce magical laws throughout Solabren and to make it the only source of magical learning available. Magic is a powerful tool and, without proper supervision, others will always seek to use it for destructive purposes.
Holgrin likes things to be organized. Every object must be kept in its proper place. Every action must have a proper plan behind it. Nothing bothers him more than to see careless individuals whom let intuition and fancy decide their actions. By extension he holds a slight distaste for wanderers and adventurers: people whom go where they please with little regard to the damage they leave and resources they waste all because they wish to shirk the responsibility of properly helping society in search of 'freedom' or for some pathetic and vain quest to leave ones mark on the world.
When it comes to his relationships with others he finds that he has little time or patience for any. Friends and lovers only serve to distract him from what is truly important and what little Holgrin feels for others in a sexual perspective is never acted upon. Viewing someone as an ally for mutual benefit is probably the closest one might ever come to befriending Holgrin. When speaking to others he tries to remain calm and polite, though the tone of his voice is often far from friendly.

Chosen Pantheon: Ancestors of the Jadeblood Clan

Past History:
The Jadeblood clan is one of the oldest known clans to live within Imperia and have the highest concentration of dwarven arcane practitioners. They are also one of the few remainins clans in Solabren that still regularly practice dwarven rune magic due to an increase in dwarven mages adopting the more 'traditional' magical practices of other races.
