Experience Points, while they may seem complicated because of their high numbers, are actually quite simple. As broken down in the Character Creation Template, you can see that XP is spent to purchase both items and stats for your character. Every character starts with 250 XP, with the possibility of a bonus upwards of 50 additional XP for exemplary efforts in character creation. Your character will start with most of what they will have throughout their stay here at Solabren.
Every RP event you write out between yourself and other members will be worth 1 XP each. Quests and individual site events will be worth a set amount of points each, depending on length and difficulty. Their value will be annotated during the sign-up phase of each event. Additionally, bonuses may be given from time to time for characters or players who perform in an outstanding manner and who make Solabren a worthwhile place to RP. Your efforts will be noted!
Because all Character Biographies are locked upon approval, you will need to contact the staff in order to get your biography unlocked so that you can spend XP. We advise all players to make a written log at the bottom of their profile to show how they are spending their XP. This makes validation easier for the staff in the long run and keeps you from losing items that you earned in the event of an audit.
All characters may only start with a maximum of 10 XP in most of their stats, again, as annotated in the Character Creation Template, with the exception of course being magic, items, companions, and the like.

- 0: Absolutely no proficiency in this field. ALL PHYSICAL STATS (Vitality, Endurance, etc.) MUST HAVE A VALUE OF AT LEAST ONE!
- 1-3: Below Average
- 4-6: Average
- 7-9: Seasoned
- 10-14: Exceptional
- 15-19: Mastered
- 20+: Perfected
