Zetomar Rulers Erando Grand Duke Antonius of Erando. - A reluctant ruler, this former paladin was released from his vow to the Order of the Seven Stars upon the untimely death of his older brother, Grand Duke Dante in 4004. For the last six years he has made every attempt at bringing his country's wild frontiers along Irosan under control through other means other than his brother's path of brute strength. Several times, his envoys have been accepted by the wild elves that still occupy the ruins deep within the forest of Irosan. However, the negotiations have stalled between the envoy and the elves even when the news of raids along the frontier have dwindled. At present, the Erandon Ambassador, Comte Deresto is in negotiations for the dowry of Princess Ophelina of Imperia. Shrewd to the last gold floran, Deresto is doing everything in his ability to make sure that his rather poor nation comes out for the better. However, Empress Resvina is a talented negotiator and is making Erando work for this alliance. Boirensog King Fradon of Boirensog - As one of the last members of his house to survive his Queen Mother's psychotic purge of all those who she believed were against her; Frandon brought a sense of complete stability when his mother finally was taken by the agents of Nargel. However, even after surviving something so horrible as the Palace purge of 4002, Fradon seems a bit touched in the head for just surviving. Like his mother's break with reality and the all out massacre that it caused has put a slight hint of fear that he too will follow in his mother's footsteps. Even so, in the six years since taking the throne, Fradon has found a little peace of mind in his loving and devoted wife Mirilie, who though a quiet sort has been his tether keeping him grounded where he is needed the most: ruling Boirensog. Even so, Frandon does on occasion over indulge on the diversions the court and his favorites provide. Queen Mirilie consort of Frandon. Originally from a tiny principality island off the coast of the swamp nation, she is quiet and demure. Many of those use to Frandon's boisterous and near constant need for excitement. Mirilie's court is more tranquil and focused on the raising of their three boys. Prince Hernan (2 years), Prince Verio (6 years) and Prince Atheodus (10 years). Grundwald
Archduchess Yevlyn of Erando, consort to Archduke Miklos. – The newest addition to the ruling house of Azura, Yevlyn and her now husband have only been married a year and are at present awaiting the arrival of their first born. The young Archduchess is outspoken supporter of the Iron Fist. Has been since the death of her eldest brother Dante, who believed to be killed by a member of a local confederation of warlocks in Erando. Though there is no proof that this magic user had killed him, Yevlyn urged her brother Antonius to urge the High Commander to perform a purge. Reluctantly he did so. Soon after taking the throne, he began to negotiate for her marriage alliance with Miklos of Grundwald, for two reason, she was attempting to rule Erando through his ministers meddling in affairs of state and secondly she was a constantly attempting to bring the Iron Fist into the court to perform a purge. It took four years for Miklos to accept the terms of the marriage alliance. However, now that Yevlyn has been out of the way for some time and the trade agreements with Grundwald are now solidified with the heir apparent nearly here, Antonius has sought out the Imperian princess to solidify an alliance with one of the strongest militaries in Solabren. Yevlyn is not happy and plots with the High Commander to take out the young princess as soon as she is upon Grundwald soil. Antonius knows his sister and is in the process of talking Miklos into limiting any and all power that his sister has in the court due to the fact that she would grab the chance to rule if given the proper motivations. Archduke Miklos of Grundwald. – After losing both of his parents to a sudden squall off the coast of Grundwald after a trip to negotiate a trade agreement in Contobur, Miklos has been ruling since the age of 11. Though much of the affairs of state had been taken care of by a council of regents until his eighteenth birthday, he has been groomed for the position he now keeps. He is studious, enjoys games of martial prowess, and sailing his own small ship up and down the coasts of Grundwald. Though sometimes considered a very serious man, he does enjoy a good jest. However, since his marriage to Yevlyn of Erando he has become more dower as she attempts to bully him into letting her have her way. Miklos is normally a very dominating personality, however, his wife’s constant complaining and proselytizing about magic users has driven him half-way mad to the point he has been very close to removing her from his presence. He understands for Grundwald, a prosperous nation due to trade, one cannot be prejudice against those clients and merchants from places like Imperia. This bone of contention has caused a great deal of strain on their marriage and has Miklos agreeing with Antonius of Erando: Yevlyn is dangerous. Lady Asha, Marchessa of Berro and of Heathersburrough. As the only unmarried member of Archduke Miklos' immediate family, she is a prize to be had. There have been several worthy marriage proposals for her hand and each one she has turned down much to the annoyance of her brother. Currently there are negotiations for her to marry Prince Balian to seal a military alliance as well as a trade agreement with the Imperia royal family.

Imperian Royal Family The Late Emperor-consort Haakon. Past away seven years ago quietly in his sleep of natural causes. Empress Resvina of Imperia. She is in her 45th year of her reign though her son resents her longevity. She was married at the tender age of 17. Within the year of the marriage date the a stillborn was born to grief of the young couple. Over the course of the next six years, heart ache rocked the imperial family. Even when Resvina was elevated to Empress and ruler of Imperia in her twenty-second year, her dreams of producing an heir seemed dashed due to the fact that none of them were strong enough to live past infancy. However, the luck changed as Prince Balian was born seven years into her marriage to Haakon. He was strong and a fighter. Even when it seemed like they may loose him as a toddler to the Ceru pox (think chicken pox meets typhoid), he fought through to the other side with relatively few scars and was proclaimed heir apparent. He is the apple of his mother's eye, though she knows he loathes her and covets her power. Well into her late forties, Resvina discovered she was pregnant yet again. Surprised as ever, she carried the child to term and was blessed with a baby girl in which she named Ophelina in honor of her great-grandmother who had foretold the child's birth before she passed away. Ophelina grew into a beautiful young woman who now is a pawn of the High Councilors as they try to expand their economic standing with the rest of Solabren. However, because they are mages, many still view them with suspicion and waiting for the other shoe to drop as it were. Prince Balian, heir apparent to the Imperian throne. He is known for being a womanizer, arrogant, pompous power hungry whelp. He is one of two surviving children of the nine the imperial family welcomed into this world. Princess Ophelina youngest sister to Prince Balian. Though she does not scheme and devise intrigues along the route to power, she does however thrive on minor courtly intrigues. Ophelina has been betrothed to Grand Duke Antonius since birth. The only thing that is preventing the nuptials is the fact that Ophelina is not yet sixteen years old.

Contobur Council of Elders Reverend Tomelin of Clan Peliandro - As the leader of the single most powerful clan in the Northern Counties, Tomelin came to power after his predecessor passed from this world to the Summerlands. The Peliandro clan of the Soolari is not the most powerful clan in the Setani Desert, they are the most wealthy. The coin gained from mining and gem cutting sets the entire clan above the rest. Tomelin himself, however, is a man of simple means. He lived in a simple mud brick home near the Reosme Gem Mines where he was a foreman on a gem cutting workshop for much of his younger years. He does have some fierce memories of Hssonderaids into the mines and on more than one occasion he has fought the repilitian bastards with his own bare hands. Due to his experiences with the Hssonde, he is known for caution when it comes to dealing with the dragon kin scourge that seems to plague his region and has been known to, on more than one occasion to return with a raid in kind. As an elder on the Contobur council, he has been noted to be a bit zealous when it comes to diplomacy with the Hssondi to cause strained relations with the dragon kin. Reverend Onemis of Clan Ashantös- Born on the coast, Onemis at one point in time wished to be nothing more than a sailor, however fate had something far more important for him in store. Son of Gardom, clan chief of the Ashantös, he was groomed for a position of leadership and had his business acumen honed like the edge of a fine sword. Sharp as a dagger wielded by a professional, he was able to negotiate a trade agreement with the Grunwaldi merchant's guild that gave the Soolari merchants the upper hand when they came to Arsuran to sell their wares. Onemis is shrewd and can be known for severe bouts of melancholy which in turn just makes him difficult to work with. There have been days in which council meetings have been postponed because he refused to bathe himself for days. Some have started to notice that he has begun speaking to himself when he believes no one is looking. Reverend Aeongust of Clan Meloin - Born of one of the truly nomadic Soolari clan Meloin, Aeongust has a special insight into the caravan trade that crisscrosses the Setani Desert. The Meloin clan is known for its breeding of beasts of burden and providing guides for merchants trying to travel the sea of sand. As an elder, Aeongust is an abrasive if not blunt member of the council. He is known for his vocal opposition to any trade agreements that cut out any or all nomadic clans of the desert. Reverend Sheol of Clan Drakanis - Of the Tsond Mountain clans has been an avid supporter of heavy military retaliation against the near constant Hssondi incursions. In the past four years, settlements of the perfume making clans have been raided with deaths in the hundreds. It is hurting the perfume trade from the mountain fertile valleys to Contobur. Sheol has been fighting the other council members for more military assistance and protection of the caravans from the mountains. He is a hard nosed politician and very ornery when he is dealing with the other elders and has a tendency to put the blinders on when it comes to the clans he has to represent. Reverend Grimire of Clan Nyobë - The oldest of the Elders, many defer to his still very sound judgement when it comes to judicial matters as well as matters of state. As a member of the Nyobë clan, he hails from far in the south of the Setani where his clan farms much of the fertile land along several agriculturally oriented oases. He is a very quiet man who says very little when it is not necessary. However, when he does speak, everyone listens.
