Eastern Marches
The Eastern Marches are known for their fields of grain waving in the summer breezes and for the ancient rubble that litters the countryside between farmer’s fields. As Zetomar’s bread basket, the Eastern Marches are usually marginalized by the three great powers, Grunwald, Boirensog and Erando.
- Wenta Temple Complex - As humanity’s prowess and expansion pressed the ancient ways of the Elfish people from the land, they razed the temples that stood their to the ground in defiant disrespect to the old ways. After several centuries of bloodshed and war, the Elfish left the complex and the surrounding lands to the barbarian humans who promptly set to the task of building grand monuments and holy sanctums to their gods. Raising walls of marble and granite, the temple complex grew with each passing year. Now a day, it is a vibrant religious center where human and several other pantheons have found themselves aligned side by side. However, even with the rise of tolerance among many of the holy houses within Wenta, there are still more brotherhoods and organizations that are dedicated to maintain a specific form of balance of religious power. This is a place of religious tension and zealot belief.
- Greenwall Caves - Named for the green glowing lichen that grows deep within the cave. The cave has long been a hiding place for those that do not wish to be found. The cave system reaches far into the underbelly of the mountains and if one does not know how to read the lichen, it is possible for someone to be lost forever underground.
- Otem Farming VIllage – In the heart of Zetomar’s breadbasket is the rather large farming village of Otem. Otem sits upon the trade road that leads from Wenta to the far reaches of the Zetomar continent. Within the village the houses are simple thatched roofs and wood and mud walls. The village bustles with life during the spring planting, summer growing and autumn harvests. During the winter, there is little to be done in town and many farmers and farmer’s wives take to contests of riddles, song and ale.
- Ruin Tower of Yeshrin – Established in the time before the Age of Swords, the tower once was home to the human magic users. Though it is called a tower, it however is a sprawling complex that surrounded an astronomical observation tower that stood only ten stories above the surrounding buildings. The magic users themselves destroyed the tower during the Wizard Wars as they refused to be held under the yoke after being enslaved for generations to harness their power against the Elfish and other races the humans fought. The site is overgrown with brush and shrubs in many places peeking through the ancient stone, even destroyed this is a place of immense power. From the destruction of the Tower of Yeshrin and the Treaty of Vestra Asuran, Imperia was created.
