Pelios' Comet
IC News Event
**********
The young astronomer Pelios has recently identified a celestial body over Solabren that has previously been deemed as "anomalous" by his other colleagues. While previous astronomers have said that the blood red, quickly moving streak that disappears in the course of one night cycle remains unclassified, Pelios, with the help of a special looking glass his father constructed many years ago before his passing, has decided that the object is not anomalous at all and is instead simply a comet whose coloration differs from other celestial bodies of the same kind.
Pelios has observed a blood red comet over the skies of Solabren at least three times in his life now. It has been many years since his last observation when he was just a lad who was out with his father, Pelsius, observing, and between these three different observations he has drawn two conclusions. The first is that the comet (which he has dubbed Pelios' Comet) does not appear in the sky in any set pattern of dates or times. It seems to be come and go on random intervals. The second observation is that it almost always seems to herald the coming of some great misfortune for Solabren.
The comet left the skies of Solabren on the morning of the 13th of Wistarm, AoS 4010. As one may have previously deduced from Pelios' random intervals statement, it is unclear of when the comet will return, but regardless, Pelios is confident that the recent sighting of the comet is an ill omen for Solabren; one that will be felt worldwide...
