Recent meetings between the Council of Mages from Tradantum and the Council of Chiefs from Contobur has revealed that both cities have encountered Hssondi patrols on the continent of Aesterholm. The first recorded encounter was on the 1st of Wistarm, when a trade caravan from Contobur was attacked on its way to the coast, moving from the city to the west. One farmer who had fled the slaughter relayed the information shortly before dying of exposure, as he had been lost in the desert for many days trying to get back to Contobur.
The second reported encounter was on the 9th of Wistarm by a team of alchemists from Tradantum who were in the Forest of Eire searching for medicinal plants and supplies. This group was able to fight off their assailants, and reports that the leader of the group, while certainly no Hssondi of prestigious rank, flew a battle standard that entailed a dragon encircled in fire, his right talon grasping a spear, his left talon grasping a slain dove; this is the battle standard of Warlord Kragok.
This recent development, when piled on top of the events of previous months, has given the Council of Chiefs to organize light reconnaissance patrols by the city guard, meant to move about the outskirts of the city and report any suspicious activity as well as to protect the interests of the people of Contobur.
